Description
This beautiful bowl is a vintage Italian ceramic spongeware (or splatterware) mixing bowl, typically produced by brands like Roma, Inc. or artisan potteries in regions like Puglia, Italy. It features a classic turquoise-and-white mottled schizzato pattern contrasted by a hand-painted terracotta-brown center band and matching rim. A small mfg. blemish on interior of bowl does not affect function. Also some light marks from usage, please see photos. Beautiful Italian bowl measuring 8” across mouth. Bin D
