Vintage 1960s Black Velvet Hat Satin Roses Union Made Mod Cloche

Beautiful vintage circa late 1950s–early 1960s black millinery hat with a soft velvet crown, shaped black brim and three dramatic dimensional satin roses in a very dark chocolate/plum brown. A striking mid-century design with a low rounded crown and sculptural floral trim. Fully lined in patterned black fabric. Interior retains its vintage Union Made USA label. Interior opening measures approximately 7” x 6” as shown. Please compare measurements with a hat that fits comfortably. Very good vintage condition. Exterior velvet and fabric are in especially nice condition and the satin flowers retain their shape. The crown has some subtle unevenness/denting from improper storage and is not a perfectly smooth dome. This is more noticeable by touch than visually and is quite subtle when the hat is worn.
