Description
Thank you for looking.
This is a Bobby Dukoff Miami Florida black Dukoff alto saxophone mouthpiece, model D7.

I'm hesitant to part with it as it's a piece I really love, but I'm selling it to raise funds.

Based on its appearance and texture, this mouthpiece is likely from the 1970s.
The bite plate had come off, so I cut a thin piece of commercially available acrylic sheet to size and attached it myself.

In terms of playability, it's exceptionally easy to blow. Among the dozen or so Dukoff mouthpieces I've owned, this is the easiest one to play. It has a deeper sweet spot than mouthpieces from other manufacturers, and it possesses the characteristic depth of a black Dukoff that can handle strong tonguing.
The tone is, of course, exquisite. It's different from the relatively recent Miami Florida black Dukoffs that are commonly found on the market.

While it shows signs of use, there is almost no wear on the table, and no other scratches that would impede playing. It's still very much in active use.

This is a wonderful mouthpiece that will bring back the sound of Sanborn from the 70s to early 80s.
I've played it with a Selmer Supreme, but if you play it with an American Selmer Mark VI, Sanborn fans will surely be impressed.

I've bought many vintage Dukoffs over the years, inspired by Takeshi Ito of T-SQUARE, but I've cherished this particular piece because its sound evokes the soft tone from the early to mid-80s (around the album R・E・S・O・R・T), which is very appealing.

A must-have item for Sanborn fans and Takeshi Ito fans!
